Over time, the team at CAPTUR3D has determined the best way to present a Matterport 3D Tour on the web. We have condensed these insights into a set of optimisations that present 3D Tours to a high standard that clients expect.
We offer complementary services to optimise the presentation of your 3D tour and generate additional media content that helps present your content on the web. Learn more about these features here:
These features require Collaborator access to new scans on your Matterport account - follow the steps bellow to set this up.
Step One - Invite Collaborator
Log in to your Matterport account, then click the 'Collaborators tab'.
Click 'Invite Collaborator' to the right of that page.
Enter the user's email address in the format 'processing+companyname@captur3d.io', for example: 'processing+demopropertyphotography@captur3d.io'. Ensure the 'Account Type' is set to 'User'.
An email notification will be sent to CAPTUR3D to confirm the account, activation may take up to one business day. You may still perform some of the remaining setup steps while this is happening. You will receive a notification when the CAPTUR3D Processing account has been activated.
Step Two - Create Processing Folders
Click on the 'Spaces tab', then click the 'Create Folder' button.
Name this folder 'New Uploads' and click 'Create'.
Click the 'New Folder' button again.
Name this folder 'Process Complete' and click Create. Once the 3D Tour Optimisation has been completed, uploads in the 'New Uploads' folder will be moved to this folder.
Step Three - Default Upload Folder
Click on the 'Collaborator' tab, then click on your personal 'Account'.
Click on the 'Edit' (Pencil) icon to begin editing and then click on the 'Default Upload Folder' link.
Select the 'New Uploads' folder you created earlier and then click 'OK'.
Select the 'New Uploads' folder you created earlier and then click 'OK'.
Step Four - Collaborator Folder Access
Once you have received the CAPTUR3D Processing account notification email, click on the 'Collaborator tab'.
Click on the 'Processing CAPTUR3D' profile.
Under the 'Access' section, click the arrow next to the 'Spaces' folder to expand the view, also click the expand arrow next to the 'New Uploads' folder.
To the right of both the 'New Uploads' and 'Process Complete' folders, select 'Editor' from the dropdown.
This will allow CAPTUR3D to edit new uploaded models that require processing. Once this is complete, you may move the models to other folders in your account. CAPTUR3D will not have access to your entire account, this access is strictly only for processing purposes.
