Curate audio throughout your virtual tours with our new Audio Zone tool. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use audio zones.
How to use Audio Zones
- In CAPTUR3D Creator Studio, select the Audio tab in the top navigation menu
- Under Audio in the left-hand side menu, click + Upload audio
- Upload your chosen audio track into your library
- Once the track is uploaded, click the + button next to the track title and assign as Audio zone
- Before continuing, ensure that you have selected the correct floor and that your chosen area is entirely visible.
- Click the + button in the centre of the editor window.
- Left click and drag to begin drawing your audio zone. You can release and click the mouse as many times as necessary - this will not void the selection.
- Avoid clicking on walls, as this may cause you to enter first-person view. If this happens to you, simply hit the x and start the process again. Try to make sure you only click on floor surfaces.
- To complete the audio zone, you must ensure the end point matches the starting point. Once this has been done, all scan points in your audio zone will be highlighted like this:
- If you’re happy with your audio zone, click the ✓ in your editor window to save it. To redraw, simply click the x button and try again.
- Repeat this process to create more audio zones.
Drawing over existing zones
If you draw a new audio zone over an existing audio zone, you will overwrite your previous selection:
Integration with ARConnect
We’re excited that audio zones are integrated with ARConnect, so your visitors can experience a curated audio experience in Augmented Reality.
If you intend to showcase your virtual tour using ARConnect, you will need to remove any existing audio tracks from the right-hand side menu in order and replace these with audio zones.
However if you don’t want to use ARConnect, you don’t need to do this. Your audio tracks will continue to function as normal and you can always create audio zones in the future.
